The FIT Comprehensive Mat Pilates Teacher Training is a 135-hour, NASM- and AFAA-approved certification program led by master educator Natalie Puangkaew. This training is ideal for aspiring instructors, fitness professionals, and dedicated practitioners seeking to master the foundations of Pilates while learning how to teach safe, effective, and inspiring classes.
This hands-on program will build your knowledge of classical and modern Pilates methods, cueing, anatomy, and movement science. You’ll complete in-person training sessions, practice teaching, self-practice, and observation hours—all designed to give you the tools to confidently lead classes in studios, gyms, and private settings.
Participants will graduate with the skills and certification needed to lead safe, effective, and inspiring mat Pilates classes in studios, gyms, or private settings.

Mat Pilates Training Dates

About the Instructor: Nat Puangkaew
Nat Puangkaew brings over 22 years of experience in the fitness industry across the world, with strong roots in Southeast Asia. Her journey began in 2004 in Thailand, where she became a certified Les Mills instructor in Body Balance, Body Jam, and Body Step. Over the years, Nat has grown into a well-rounded and respected movement educator.
Her passion for mindful movement led her to specialize in Pilates. She is certified in both Mat and Reformer Pilates and has completed comprehensive training on all Pilates apparatus, including the Cadillac, Chair, and Barrel. Nat is known for her thoughtful, precise teaching style that blends classical foundations with modern functional movement principles.
She is also a Certified Teacher Trainer in the Pilates Suspension Method (PSM) and integrates dynamic suspension work into her classes to enhance strength, balance, and body awareness. Nat works with a wide range of clients, from beginners and athletes to those with pre/postnatal or rehabilitation needs.
Beyond Pilates, Nat is a Shiva Yoga International Teacher and a Catwalk Confidence® Instructor, trained by Dr. Emily Splichal, a leading podiatrist and global educator in barefoot science. She holds certifications in Fit For Birth® Pre/Postnatal Corrective Exercise, Rehab Fitness, Corrective Exercise, ISSA Personal Training, and Fitness Nutrition.

How long is the training?
The course runs over three weekends on the following dates:
- Jan 10-11, 17-18, 24-25
- Each day runs from 12:30 PM – 5:30 PM, held at the FIT East Village Yoga Studio.
- Parking is included, with a 15-minute break to move/repark cars in the garage.
What happens after I complete the training?
You’ll be fully equipped to lead safe, effective, and inspiring Mat Pilates classes. Graduates also receive ongoing mentorship and guidance to support their teaching journey beyond certification.
